This book introduces various uses of the to-infinitive through the story of a little boy who plans his year ahead by making New Year’s resolutions. Making resolutions is something familiar to young readers, allowing them to easily understand the different uses of the to-infinitive in the story.

In this book, young readers will practice recognizing and understanding each to-infinitive in the context of the story. They will also become familiar with verbs followed by to-infinitives as objects, to-infinitives with objects, and the structure of the ‘dummy subject it’ followed by a to-infinitive.
