How to Use Vocabulary Book16

Making the Most of This Book

Your child has finished the first 15 books in this 30-book vocabulary series. In the next 15 books, they will learn new words by theme.

Book 16 focuses on numbers—from zero to a trillion. Numbers 1 to 100 are practiced using a multiplication table that your child creates, helping them master numbers in English through hands-on learning.

Tips for Parents

✅ Start with number 1 to ten!

Start with numbers 1 to 10! Each page shows an item with the correct number of children—like one chair for one child, two boys on a bunk bed, three girls on a tricycle, and so on. Going through the pictures helps children understand numbers and get ready to make their own multiplication table.

Write numbers from 1 to 1o and play games!

On a piece of paper, ask your child to write the numbers 1 to 10. Then play a “Speed Game” with the numbers. Once they feel confident saying the numbers in English, let them listen as you say multiple numbers and have them repeat what they hear.

Make their own multiplication table!

The book provides an empty multiplication table with numbers 1 to 10 along the top and pictures from previous pages along the side. Each picture represents a number from 1 to 10. Children fill in the empty squares with the correct numbers, creating their own multiplication table and reinforcing what they’ve learned. Once complete, let them practice reading each number on the table aloud.

Fill the blanks from 1 to 100!

Some numbers are missing from the previous multiplication table, so children create a new number table from 1 to 100, filling in the missing numbers. This activity reinforces counting and number recognition in English. Once the table is complete, let them practice saying the numbers 1 to 100 aloud.

Move on to Bigger!

Move on to bigger numbers! Your child explores populations from thousands to trillions, comparing cities, countries, and the world to see how numbers grow. Encourage them to read and explore the populations of cities and countries that interest them.
