How to Use Vocabulary Book13
Making the Most of This Book
In this second action-verb book, your child will practice more action verbs through four imperative structures: “Eat!”, “Don’t eat!”, “Let’s eat!”, and “Let’s not eat!”. Children can develop more fluent speaking skills by engaging in interactive matching activities and solving multiple-choice questions. These patterns make learning action verbs fun and help kids use them naturally in a variety of expressions!
Tips for Parents
✅ Let your child play the matching game on the first page of each set!
This book includes 15 sets of exercises. Each set begins with a matching game. As they complete each matching activity, they are guided toward one of the four imperative sentence types using more action verbs.
✅ Let your child read aloud each statement!
After the matching game, have your child read each sentence aloud several times so they can remember it better. Then, point to each picture and ask your child to say the correct imperative sentence for that illustration.
✅ Describe the picture and give a command!
On the second page, let your child describe the picture. Then ask them what they want the people in the picture to do. They can answer in English using one of the imperative sentences they practiced on the first page—fun and easy!
✅ Don’t forget! There are lots of fun and engaging online learning activities waiting on our website. Go explore them with your children and enjoy learning together!
