How to Use Vocabulary Book12
Making the Most of This Book
This book helps young ESL learners master the most essential action verbs through simple imperative sentences. Now it’s the perfect time for children to learn and practice basic English action words. In this fun, interactive book, kids can easily understand each verb by reading the imperative sentence on the back of every card. Through simple card games, they imitate the actions of the animals on the cards—and at the same time, they naturally learn and internalize action verbs.
Tips for Parents
✅ Ask your child what they do from morning till night!
Encourage your child to think about their daily routine so they can understand what action verbs are and which actions they do most often. Explain that this book will help them learn these verbs in a fun and interactive way!
✅ Have your child ready for playing Games in the book!
Before your child plays the games in the book, encourage them to act out their daily activities from morning to night. This helps children better understand the meanings of all the action verbs featured in the book.
✅ Go Through All the Animal Words on the Cards!
There’s a set of 16 animal cards in the book. Have fun checking if your child can remember all the animal names in English! You can also introduce the word “like”—showing that it means doing something in the same way as the animal, like “Walk like a penguin!”
✅ Play the Game and Act Like Each Animal!
Let your child have fun acting out each animal with the corresponding action verb to fully understand the meaning of each word. Afterward, they can play the “Speed Game” using the list of action verbs in the book along with their own daily action list for even more practice and excitement!
