How to Use Vocabulary Book7
Making the Most of This Book
In this engaging book, children practice color and clothes vocabulary through 18 animals with imagination. Young learners imagine what kind of outfits will suit for each animal considering their colors. Each character is shown as a dark silhouette first, revealing its true color as its outfit. This encourages children to imagine the colors of the animals’ outfit and styles too. It helps children see the world from a new perspective. For example, a flamingos are wearing beautiful pink tutus, and a penguin is wearing a stylish tailcoat.
Tips for Parents
✅ Use each animal’s silhouette to ask your child questions!
On the first page of each set, your child will see a black-and-white silhouette of an animal. Ask them to guess which animal it is and what color it might be. Encourage them to use the sentence structures they have already learned, such as, “It’s a parrot.” and “A parrot is red.”
✅ Let your child become a little fashion designer!
Encourage your child to imagine the perfect outfit for each animal and describe it using colors. For example: “A parrot is red, so a red dress is the best for the parrot.” This activity helps them practice using adjectives both before nouns and after the verb “be.”
✅ Keep your child imaginative!
Encourage your child to be as imaginative as possible by asking questions like: “What other animals can wear this red dress?” Let them create sentences such as:
“A red dress is the best for a crab!”
“A green raincoat is the best for a crocodile!”
This makes reading interactive, fun, and full of creativity!
